TOSHIBA 32GB SDHC card

Looks like SDHC has finally fulfilled its potential. According to Toshiba, its first ever 32GB SDHC memory card and the 8GB microSDHC card will go into mass production from January 2008. While 16GB SDHC card will be produced on a large scale from October 2007 onwards.

miCARD - Another memory card format

MultiMediaCard Association (MMC) recently announced a new format known as miCARD (multiple-interface memory card) produced by a Taiwanese research institute. That multiple-interface consists of the standard MMC interface, along with an integrated USB connector. The compatibility with both USB and MMC slots means most users won't need separate card readers anymore.

The MiCARD will transfer data at 480M bits per second, and throughput will improve over time, able to store 8G bytes of information but the maximum capacity is expected to top out around 2048G bytes.

The mouse was designed to resemble a living room device and not a computer peripheral. AMD unveils TV Wonder 600 USB, 650 PCIe HD tuners

Regardless of whether you're scouting a TV tuner for your desktop or portable machine, AMD has unveiled a duo of devices that will likely fit the bill. Up first is AMD's plug 'n play ATI TV Wonder 600 USB, which should have no problem tuning OTA HD on any machine equipped with USB, and also comes bundled with an IR remote, AV input, and Catalyst Media Center software. For the desktop only crowd, the ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe (pictured after the jump) sports ClearQAM support, hybrid analog / digital tuning, a 3D comb filter, FM tuner, and like its portable sibling, works just fine with Windows Vista. No word yet on the pricing details, but both units should be shipping out next month.

Kingston Combines Flash Memory & Card Reader

That image you see there is a picture of the Kingston DataTraveler Reader, unleashed on the world along with its 1 GB and 2 GB siblings on March 8 (although the 4 GB version won't hit the streets until next quarter). As you can guess from the name, the DataTraveler Reader combines a USB drive with a memory card reader, allowing you to carry around two forms of data storage in your pocket. When you plug the DataTraveler into a computer, two different drives appear, giving you access to both pieces of media at once.

While the drive is pretty cheap (MSRP for the 2 GB version is $34.99), adding a card reader does seem a little gimmicky. If you do a lot of data transfer from something like a cell phone or a camera via memory card instead of using a cable and need a USB drive it seems like a good idea, but otherwise, the newest DataTraveler sounds like it's using a neat trick to get your attention.

Microsoft Reclusa Gaming Keyboard

Well, you've got to like the name of this new Gaming Keyboard by Microsoft. It's called the Reclusa, which is Latin for: "to make oneself into a recluse".

This is one of several gaming keyboards that are coming out. Considering that World of Warcraft is at the six million mark and counting, there is definitely a demand. I'm not really sure what makes the Reclusa or other gaming keyboards any different from your average keyboard.

Perhaps you might like the programmable keys on the side of the keyboard that allow you to open your email or video controls. You can also set up macros for these keys to do other things for you.
