Regarding O&O and PerfectDisk:

- O&O command center does not provide alerts or warnings
- attempt to defrag very large, very full drives with both products -- compare results
- O&O is a multi-pass defragmenter; see results and resource consumption after a single pass of each, and then after O&O has defragmented the drive (after several passes)
- O&O does not defragment all NTFS metadata
- see Microsoft user groups to see what professionals are using and recommending

Just FYI: Diskeeper 8 is an old version. The current one is Diskeeper 2007 (i.e. Dk 11) and is quite different from the older ones. It has a nice automatic defragmentation feature which means you set it once and do not have to defragment the drives manually. Diskeeper runs in the background using very few resources and defragments the drives automatically when essential. Been using it for a few months now; very good program and very easy to use.

Thanks albert for the corrections. Actually it is Diskeeper 10. I've corrected it already and sorry for the typing error.
